Lloydminster residents may notice increased activity at the Cenovus plant on Wednesday Sept. 14.
Officials say the energy company will be having an emergency training exercise at the pipeline terminal near the Lloydminster Asphalt Refinery.
Motorists and residents in the area may see response teams from the refinery activated or roadblocks erected at the site entrances. The exercise is for training purposes only, say officials.
Cenovus adds all activities will be taking place on the refinery property running from 9 a.m. and into the afternoon as they test emergency preparedness.
