Two injured during Tuesday residential fire

Two homes suffered damages on Tuesday night as a result of fire, while a third homeowner is dealing with some damages to a backyard.

On Oct. 4 at about 10:38 p.m. Lloydminster fire crews were called to duty on the 5300 block of 49 Avenue.

Nineteen-members using eight vehicles, along with RCMP, EMS and utility companies were on scene as the incident unfolded.

While there were no injuries to bystanders or homeowners, two fire officers sustained minor injuries.

Crews began mopping up at around 3 a.m. and all members returned to the station at about 4:30 a.m., Wednesday.

The third house was inspected on Wednesday and is believed not to have suffered any damages, according to fire officials.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
