Bobcats buzzcut effort gets United Way donation

The Lloydminster Bobcats have committed themselves to raising $25,000 for youth mental health and once they hit the target by Jan. 7, the entire team including head coach Nigel Dube will be headed to the barber for a buzz cut.

The United Way of Lloydminster has pitched in to support the hockey players efforts after forward Jayven Leslie shared his vision and passion for the cause to make more services and resources available for youth mental health.

The United Way’s $5,000 contribution has pushed the tally to just above $10,000.

As MyLloydminsterNow has reported, residents may pitch in via the LRHF website.
