Police make arrest in suspicious truck case

A mid-November call involving a suspicious vehicle has led to a mid-January court date.

On Nov. 16, Kitscoty RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious truck on Spruce Hill Road.

Investigators report that upon their arrival,  a man was inside the vehicle which was discovered to have been reported as stolen from Saskatoon. Police further determined the suspect had stolen ID, a stolen credit card and was in possession of break-in tools.

Travis Shutiak who is 29-years, with no fixed address, was charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of stolen property over $5000
  • Possession of stolen property under $5000
  • Possession of break-in tools
  • Misuse of credit card

Shutiak was released from custody to return to Lloydminster, Alberta Provincial Court on Jan. 17, 2023.
