Coffee with a cop this Friday

“We really want to invite the public out,” says Sgt. Brad Mouland with the Lloydminster RCMP.

This as officers with local police will be hosting “Coffee with a cop” on Friday Dec. 16 at the Starbucks on the city’s west side.

Mouland says they want the residents to be able to “have some facetime with our officers. Have a coffee under some more relaxed circumstances and really open that dialogue up if anybody has any questions or concerns that they want to bring forward.”

Mouland indicates they want people to feel comfortable coming to an easygoing visit.

“We definitely want to have our officers out there, so people can come and chat with them on an informal basis. We have done some town halls in the past where we have got some feedback from the community, and they want to hear a little bit more from us – what we are doing; address some of their concerns that they may have.”

The coffee visit starts at 11 a.m. at Starbucks, 7701 – 44 Street.

Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
