Another man from Meadow Lake charged in child exploitation cases

Another man has been charged regarding cases of child exploitation in Meadow Lake.

On April 7th, a 23-year-old man of Meadow Lake was arrested and charged with several criminal offences. Now, regarding an incident separate from the occurrence last week, another man from the area has also been charged, with 8 different offences.

On April 5th, Meadow Lake RCMP became involved in an internet luring investigation involving a 14-year-old victim. Subsequent investigation revealed two other victims ages 14 and 17. All three victims were the targets of a 37-year-old male living in the Meadow Lake area.

With the assistance of the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit, Meadow Lake RCMP arrested the male and have charged him with Luring Minors Over the Internet for a Sexual Purpose; Possession of Child Pornography; Invitation to Sexual Touching; Sexual Exploitation of a Person with a Disability; Sexual Interference; Make Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Child; Sexual Assault; &  Sexual Exploitation of a Young Person.

The male’s identity is being withheld to protect the identity of the victims. He appeared in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on Monday, April 11th.
