RCMP investigate pedestrian hit and run

Lloydminster RCMP have arrested the culprit in a pedestrian hit and run.

On April 12th, just before 2:00 a.m., Police responded to a call from WPD Ambulance for a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle in the 4700 block of 42 Street. Police learned that a confrontation had occurred between the pedestrian and the driver of a vehicle.

The pedestrian was then allegedly intentionally struck with the vehicle. The two individuals are known to each other.

The vehicle fled the area, but was later located by RCMP east of Lloydminster. The pedestrian was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
