Team Saskatchewan touched down in Prince Edward Island on Friday for Canada’s Winter Games with one Lloydminster athlete in the contingent of 317.
The lone Border City athlete is Avery McGarry in judo. That discipline will see action from Mar. 1. Another Lloydminster-product, Randy Fines, is on mission staff. A couple other regional athletes from Macklin and Rosetown will see action on the ice in hockey.
Overall some 3,600 athletes, managers and coaches will be enjoying Maritime hospitality over the 29th edition of the games from Feb. 17-Mar. 5.
