Lloyd one-bedroom rental averages $814 in February: Rentals.ca

For Lloydminster, the average monthly rent in February for a one-bedroom home was $814. As well the average monthly rent for a two-bedroom was $928.

The stats are some of the numbers contained in the latest data from Rentals.ca and Urbanation National Rent Report. The Border City did not make the recent list of 35-municipalities surveyed.

By comparison, last December, Lloydminster finished 35th on the list with a one-bedroom apartment costing $840 and a two-bedroom costing $980.

Across Canada, rent prices saw a 9.7 percent year-over-year increase with Alberta seeing a 14.5 percent increase in February. The average rent for a one-bedroom across the province cost $1,272 for February.

Regina finished 34th on the list of municipalities surveyed with a one-bedroom apartment costing $1,043 and a two-bedroom costing $1,257.

Calgary finished 26th on the list with one-bedrooms averaging $1,652, two-bedrooms averaging $2,035. Edmonton finished 32nd for February with one-bedrooms averaging $1,112, two-bedrooms averaging $1,437.

Vancouver and Toronto remain the two most expensive places for rent in the country. The average rent for a one-bedroom in Vancouver is $2,640, and in Toronto is $2,501.
