High risk male suspect released in Maidstone

Saskatchewan RCMP are alerting the community and in particular the Maidstone area that Sir Brent Adair Habetler, a suspect whom they say is at high risk to breach conditions involving youth has been released in the community.

Forty-five year old Habetler has been charged with committing an indecent act in the presence of one or more persons and the matter is currently before the Lloydminster Alberta provincial court where he is scheduled to return on April 4.

Investigators say that this is not to encourage any form of vigilantism or unreasonable conduct towards the suspect, but to enable the public to take suitable preventative measures.

As of March 14, 2023, Habetler has been ordered by court to obey, among others, the following conditions:

  • No communication, directly or indirectly, with any person under 16-years of age, subject to the following exceptions:
  • This condition does not apply to incidental or superficial contact with persons under the age of 16 who are:
  • Customers at his workplace; or employed at other places of business as long as such contact is necessary to conduct transactions as a customer.
  • Shall not attend any public swimming area, school and school yard, daycare, playground, youth shelter or public library.

Habetler is described as a 45-year-old male, 6’1” tall weighing about 215 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. RCMP have supplied the attached image of the suspect.
