A partial fire ban is now in effect in the County of Vermilion River.
Officials note that all fires are prohibited except the following:
- Recreational fires
- Burning barrel fires
- Smudge fires
- Approved incinerator fires.
The County states that it will not be issuing new fire permits and all previously issued fire permits are suspended while the ban is in effect as of April 28, 2023, at 12:00 p.m.
