Clearwater River evacuees make it to Lloydminster

Some evacuees from the Clearwater River Dene Nation in northern Saskatchewan have made it to Lloydminster.

Since yesterday evacuations have been taking place in communities near La Loche in the wake of wild fires.

Some evacuees are saying they barely left with their ID and the clothes on their back.

Meadow Lake Tribal Council Emergency Services are leading the efforts on the ground.

Red Cross staff say that evacuees need meals and clothing.
