A Level Two Fire Ban is now in effect in the RM of Frenchman Butte after officials had issued a Level One on April 27.
Reeve Tom S. Hougham in a statement said that fire crews from Paradise Hill, St. Walburg or Turtleford attend to any fires within the RM. The volunteer crews have been busy “in the last couple of weeks and have done an excellent job of acting fast and keeping damage to a minimum.”
He adds given the dry conditions and the spring winds which he sees as “a dangerous combination” they are asking everyone to do their part to prevent fires.
