Food and drink will be available to sample along with live entertainment as the Lloydminster Bobcats serves up Flavor Festival on Saturday May 13 in the WLS Convention Centre at the Lloyd Ex.

GM Nigel Dube is encouraging food lovers who relish travelling far and wide to food festivals to come celebrate as the chefs are coming to Lloydminster.

“A person buys a ticket to the event which are on sale on EventBrite which gets you in the door. And then you buy your tokens and you can sample from the 31-vendors that will be there – different kinds of food, alcohol and non-alcohol drinks as well,” says Dube.

The line up includes a lengthy foodies dream to flavour the taste pallet and inundate the senses with delicious samples.

The food menu reads Chow Bao, Lloyd Ex, Krispy Delights, Rolling Green Fairways, Sushi Sora, Swaby’s Kitchen, Burly Bee, Chilly Reaper, Prairie Bee Meadery, Pac N’ Go, Prairie Lily, Gold Horse Casino, The Canadian Brewhouse, Big Rack Ranching – Diamond 7, Only Sourdough & Pizzeria Kitscoty and Bamboo Sushi.

Dube dishes on the live entertainment that will be sizzling the Flavor Festival.

“We have different people on the stage all night. We have Duff Kelly, Courtney Stang and Friends, Bobbie & Dustin and BonFire Moon will be the closer at the end of the evening.”

Meanwhile the beverages list Lucky Bastard Distillery, 4th Meridian, Great Western Brewing, Bee & Thistle Winery, Label 9 Vodka, Lake Life Beverage Co., Last Mountain Distillery, The Booch, S42 Distillery, Moonlight Bay Brewing Company, Bandits Distilling, Paddock Wood Brewing Co., Dobrowody Distillery and Goat Hill Estate Winery.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
