While propane or natural gas barbecues will be allowed, the RM of Wilton has issued a total fire ban for everything else.
Officials state the measure covers all open burning of any outdoor fire that may create a public safety hazard, also:
- Controlled Burns
- Fireworks
- Fireplaces within Buildings
- Campfires, recreational fires
- Fire pits
- Fire rings
- Fire training by professionally trained and authorized personnel
The fire ban is effective as of 4:00 p.m. Wednesday May 10.
