Bud Miller Park study underway

It might come as a surprise, but Bud Miller Park is not named after a cold one. Rather, it’s named after James “Bud” Edgar Miller, a former member of the legislative assembly for the Progressive Conservatives in Alberta.

The park is now the subject of a study to determine its future use and development.

Lloydminster recreation planners want residents to pitch their ideas over the survey period which runs to May 24.

An open house is planned for Wednesday, May 17 from 3-7 p.m. at the PSM Lawyers Park Centre. Planners will host a virtual question and answer board, where residents can publicly ask more about the development master plan and hear from the project team.

Details on the Bud Miller All Seasons Park Master Plan and survey participation are on the city’s website.

Paper copies of the survey may be obtained at:

  • Bioclean Aquatic Centre (2903 59 Avenue)
  • City Hall (4420 50 Avenue)
  • Lloydminster Public Library (LloydMall)
  • Servus Sports Centre (5202 12 Street)

Also, residents may contact the City of Lloydminster at 780-875-6184, Ext. 2322.

Paper copies are due by Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 11:59 p.m.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
