As of Tuesday, Britannia fire crews have packed their bags and gear and headed to Île-à-la-Crosse in northwest Saskatchewan to support the battle against wildfires.
The fire fighters will be tasked primarily with structure protection, state officials adding that the request came from the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency.
The statement adds that a dedicated crew remains on call to serve the residents of Britannia.
