Maidstone RCMP recover stolen vehicle

Maidstone RCMP have released their weekly report, citing 78 occurences between Sunday, April 10th and Saturday, April 16th. One of which was response to a tip of a spotted stolen vehicle.

Of the 78 calls for service or complaints, 17 were received on Monday, April 11th–the most for the week.

On Thursday, April 14th, Maidstone RCMP were advised of a possible stolen vehicle in Lashburn. The vehicle had reportedly just been stolen from Lloydminster and the complainant had seen on Facebook that it was stolen.

Police attended and located the abandoned vehicle in Lashburn with the keys inside. Nobody has been arrested in relation to this theft.

Police are reminding the public of the importance of securing your property, not leaving the keys in your vehicles and to never leave your vehicle running without supervision.
