Lloydminster Badminton Club hosts doubles open tournament on Saturday

It’s a first for the Lloydminster Badminton Club, as it hosts a Doubles Open tournament on Saturday Sep. 2 at the Servus Sports Complex.

With Integra Tire on board as the presenting sponsor, registration and warm up begins at 8 a.m. with the action on the court beginning from 8:30 a.m.

Registration for the tournament closed on Aug. 31. Teams will comprise any age and gender.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather.
