Lloydminster City Council has appointed four people to serve on the Community Services Advisory Committee for a two-year term.
The four community members are Kristine Knourek, Linda Kappell, Allison Weaver and Amy Levesque.
The advisory committee makes recommendations to council on community service needs, policy and grants for community groups. There are four other members on the committee.
Last year the city’s Social Programs and Services budgeted just over $1 million. The city contributed just over $400,000 with bi-provincial funds making up the rest. The funding supports programs for numerous community groups in Lloydminster. More details of the committee’s work is available in the 2022 FCSS report.
The term of service for the new appointees will last until Sep. 30, 2025.
