Habitat announces return of 100 Women for Habitat fundraiser

Habitat for Humanity Lloydminster has announced the return of the 100 Women for Habitat fundraising campaign.

Returning this spring, the fundraising efforts for this year will no longer be restricted by minimum dollar expectations, in the difficult economic climate impacting the Midwest.

“Every woman knows the importance of a safe and decent home for her family at any time and more importantly in stressful times. Our 100 Women for Habitat campaign encourages the women of our community to give what is right for her,” elaborates campaign hostess, Michele Charles Gustafson.

“There’s a place for everyone to give. It always excites me that the funds raised will be invested in a new build for our community.”

As well, a wrap-up event will be held Thursday, June 9th at the Lloydminster Exhibition Grounds, entitled “Building Women & Dreams. Tickets are $50 each.

The local Habitat group was established in 1998 and has since assisted in building more than 28 homes in Lloydminster and area.
