Border City Card Show deals out for local charities

Pitching in for some of the Bea Fisher Foundation care home renos is a no-brainer for the upcoming Border City Card Show on Oct. 22. Also to benefit will be victim services at Lloydminster Sexual Assault Services (LSAS) and Pleasantview Bible Camp at Sandy Beach.

Headlining will be retired Oilers defenseman Chris Joseph who will sign autographs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Joseph will also talk about his career, how his family is dealing with losing their son Jaxon in the Humboldt Broncos crash, and share memories of Joey Moss and his impact.

Some of the prizes on the line include a Fernando Pisani signed jersey, a mystery autographed prize from the Calgary Flames, and a family night out with dinner and a movie, among other attractions.

The show itself features card collections from Pokémon, NHL, Baseball, Magic the Gathering, NFL, and others.

The Border City Card Show featuring vendors from across the Prairies will be held at the Rolling Green Fairways from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Clients with Bea Fisher will be at the door and helping in other ways at the event.
