Lloydminster fire crews have received 18 thermal imaging units from Cenovus Energy. Officials say the donation will raise the firefighting capabilities and support the safety of the community.
The new equipment will allow the fire teams to identify hotspots, find trapped individuals, and assess the overall fire situation. Officials see the new gear as fostering early fire detection and faster, better-informed decision-making based on the behaviour of a fire.
