Credit unions are celebrating with members this week as it’s Cooperatives Week and International Credit Union Day being observed on Thursday Oct. 19.
Also happening at this time is Small Business Week with the Lloydminster Chamber of Commerce holding its awards on Thursday evening.
In the Cooperative world, local credit unions will be dishing out various treats and giveaways, and its 2024 calendars.
The Chamber’s Business Excellence Awards will hand out some glitzy trophies in various categories including Small Business, Diversity, Business Woman of the Year, Community Spirit, Downtown Business, Employer of the year among others. The full list of nominees are on the Chamber’s website.
The function takes place at the WLS LLP Stockade Convention Centre at the Lloydminster Exhibition Grounds. Doors open at 6 p.m.
