Police are still seeking Hill, arrest Whitstone

Police are still seeking information on the whereabouts of 21-year-old Shanayah Hill as they seek to arrest her on various charges. Officers arrested another suspect, Tristan Whitstone who they say is connected to this investigation.

Shanayah Hill is described as five feet six inches tall, weighing 140 pounds with dark hair. She is facing charges that include intimidation of a justice system participant and kidnapping with a firearm.

On Oct. 26, Onion Lake RCMP were on patrol in Onion Lake when an officer saw Whitstone in a parked vehicle. The officer attempted a traffic stop but the vehicle drove away.

Officers followed the vehicle through rural roads for about 30 minutes until it pulled over near Marwayne. Tristan Whitstone was arrested without incident on his outstanding warrants.

Lloydminster, Elk Point and Vermillion detachments and the Lloydminster Police Dog Services assisted in the arrest.

Tristan Whitstone has been charged with one count of flight from a peace officer, along with previous charges, and appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on Oct. 27.

Meanwhile, Onion Lake RCMP continue efforts to locate and arrest 21-year-old Shanayah Hill.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call Onion Lake RCMP at 306-344-5550 or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
