RCMP seek suspect in connection with North Battleford death

Saskatchewan RCMP have issued a warrant for the arrest of 34-year-old Nolan Bird from Saskatoon in relation to the death of David Lapointe a resident of North Battleford.

The suspect has been charged with manslaughter following the police investigation into the event. Investigators report that on March 13, 2022, around 2:45 a.m., Battlefords RCMP responded to a request for help at a home on the 1600 block of 102nd Street in North Battleford. When police officers arrived, a 61-year-old man was found deceased in the house.

Police believe that Nolan Bird may be anywhere from Edmonton to Saskatoon. He is described as about five feet seven inches in height and weighs 170 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, as well as tattoos on his neck and under one eye.
