Spread a Little Love turns nine

For a ninth year, you can Spread a Little Love to seniors in the community as the Lloydminster and District Co-operative and the Olive Tree have teamed to collect Christmas gifts for more than 900 seniors across the region.

Christmas trees with a card-ornament which has the names of seniors and their gift requests have been placed at the various Co-op locations. Simply pick up a card, fill the gift list, and return the gifts to the Co-op and their elves will do the rest to deliver the items to the respective person.

“With our members’ support, this co-operatively based program allows us to give back to seniors that helped build our communities that we live in today. Together we can Spread a Little Love this Christmas and make a difference for our seniors this holiday season,” says Peter Brown, Chief Executive Officer with Lloydminster and District Co-op.

The campaign runs from Wednesday, Nov. 1 to Friday, Nov. 24, 2023. All gifts will be given to local seniors prior to Christmas Day.

Becky Schille, CEO of The Olive Tree, said, “We are grateful for the ongoing opportunities to engage with our local seniors through our programs. This collaboration with Lloydminster and District Co-op will further extend our reach, demonstrating the deep appreciation and value our community holds for them.”
