Annual RCMP Stuff the Cruiser fundraiser event a huge success

Over 8,000 lbs. of food and $3,000.00 in cash donations were collected at the 2nd annual Stuff the Cruiser event in town.

On May 7th, 2016, The Lloydminster RCMP, Fire department, Peace officers and WPD Ambulance were collecting non-perishable food items and donations for the Salvation Army food bank, at the Lloydminster & District Co-op, Superstore, and Safeway.

This year, the Co-op also committed to donating $1 to the Local food bank and $1 to the Fort McMurray evacuees for every $10 food bag sold and $2 dollars for every $20 food bag sold at Stuff the Cruiser.

As well, Musgrave Agencies and the Southridge Mall tenants got the drive off to a strong start with a $1000 food donation.

“This event would not have been possible without the massive amount of help from the Salvation Army, Lloydminster & District Co-op, Superstore, Safeway, Lloydminster Fire Department, Lloydminster Peace Officers and  WPD Ambulance, ” says Constable Grant Kirzinger.

The local Detachment and their partners in this initiative thanks the citizens of Lloydminster for their generosity.
