Cut Knife RCMP seek information on fatal hit and run involving pedestrian

Cut Knife RCMP are continuing to investigate the death of a pedestrian on Highway 40 following a collision.

On Nov. 24 at about 8:00 p.m., police were called to the scene approximately two kilometres east of Cut Knife.

Officers and EMS found an injured adult man who was later declared deceased by EMS. He has been identified as a 26-year-old male from Ahtahkakoop First Nation and his family has been notified.

Investigators say the man was struck by a vehicle. However, the driver and vehicle have not been located.

Cut Knife RCMP are asking the public for assistance in identifying the driver and vehicle involved.

If you were traveling on Highway 40 east of Cut Knife between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Nov. 24, or have any other information related to this incident please call Cut Knife RCMP at 306-398-3500.
