A new 60-bed inpatient addictions treatment facility will be established at the former Living Skies Retreat & Conference Centre near Lumsden with a planned opening in the spring.
Saskatchewan health officials add the rehab centre will provide treatment for persons 18 years and older for up to 16 weeks. It will be operated by EHN Canada through the publicly funded healthcare system.
The property which was also the former St. Michael’s Retreat run by the Franciscan Friars of Western Canada in 1963, will undergo minor renovations by EHN, say ministry officials.
