The ice sheets are ready and it’s just one more sleep until the action opens up for the Astec Safety Curling Challenge at the Lloydminster Golf and Curling Centre.
From Jan. 11-14, the Triple Knockout bonspiel, Teams Bottcher, Retornaz, Schwaller, McEwen, Schneider, Sluchinski, Gushue, Koe, Dunstone, Mouat, Edin, among others along with locals de Coninck-Smith and Armstrong will take to the ice ahead of Sunday’s final.
Organizers have put up a livestream on YouTube for the event as all the tickets at the venue have been sold.
Also, there’s a family-friendly zone at the Lloyd Ex in the Bexson Construction Prairie Sage and Willow Room, that will be open on Friday from 3:30-10:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The livestream will also be made available.
