A one-day strike is on the cards for Saskatchewan teachers next week, including those in Lloydminster.
The Saskatchewan Teachers Union announced on Thursday a five-day countdown to a one-day strike on Tuesday, Jan. 16.
The union indicated it will put off the strike if the government would discuss long-term commitments on class size.
Contract negotiations with the province’s 13,000 plus teachers began in May last year with no resolution reached as the year ended.
