Details on a murder case from 2022, are being examined in Lloydminster court after RCMP laid charges against two suspects.
Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes arrested Dennis Cardinal, 21 years from Onion Lake on Nov. 29, 2023. Then on Dec. 11, Kimberly Thunderchild, 30 years from Lloydminster was arrested in Edmonton.
Dennis Cardinal and Kimberly Thunderchild have been each charged with one count, first-degree murder in relation to the homicide of Abdo Grayman, and are scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on January 17, 2024.
Investigators say on July 1, 2022, Onion Lake RCMP received a report of an injured adult male who was in a camper next to a home in Onion Lake Cree Nation.
Officers say the seriously injured 46-year-old male was taken to hospital where he later died.
The circumstances surrounding his death were investigated by the Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crime Unit along with Onion Lake Detachment, North Battleford General Investigation Section and Forensic Identification Services, and Lloydminster RCMP Police Dog Services.
