City, LATR team up to reduce tobacco use in parks

The city of Lloydminster and the Lloydminster Action for Tobacco Reduction are working together to keep parks and green spaces tobacco free. Over the coming weeks, the city will put up 250 signs encouraging people against the use of tobacco in parks. The signs have been paid for through a grant of $7,800 by Alberta Health Services. There are currently no laws banning the use of tobacco in Lloydminster’s public spaces.
