Several Lloydminster charities are getting grant dollars from the latest City of Lloydminster Council approvals courtesy of the Saskatchewan Lotteries Community Grants for a total of $86,454.00.
The list reads:

Commemorative Association Inc. for Saving and Sharing
the Midwest’s Televised History (Phase 11) - $5,570.00 to the Libbie Young Centre for the Summer
Recreation Program - $6,152.50 to the Focus Society for Support Services for
Invest in Our Youth - $5,000.00 to Catholic Social Services – Gateway for
Newcomers for Summergration - $10,000.00 to Special Olympics Lloydminster for Special
Olympics Lloydminster - $500.00 to the Lloydminster & Area Brain Injury Society
for Brain Fit - $10,000.00 to the Lloydminster Interval Home Society for
LCYC Sport and Recreation Program - $10,000.00 to Inclusion Lloydminster for the Recreation
Liaison - $9,000.00 to Lloydminster Roman Catholic Separate
School Division #89 for Youth Sports & Free Family
Physical Activity events - $5,000.00 to the Lloydminster Area Drug Strategy for
RCMP Youth Camp - $4,500.00 to the Heart of Treaty 6 for the 2024
Interschool Powwow - $5,000.00 to Border Rage Lacrosse for Senior Lacrosse

Summer
Council authorized the Community Services Advisory Committee to reallocate any unused or returned grant funds.
Applications opened on Nov. 15, 2023, and closed on Jan. 8, 2024. Twenty-two applications totaling $157,528.50 were received. The committee met on Jan. 22, 2024, and made recommendations for fourteen 14 allocations.
