Lloydminster Men’s Shelter gets warm donation from first responders

Four large bags of winter clothing were dropped off at the Lloydminster Men’s Shelter on Wednesday through the efforts of Kitscoty RCMP and the County of Vermilion River Fire Services.

The wellwishers noted that even with spring around the corner, temperatures are still in the negatives and winter weather is upon us.

“Please consider donating any warm clothing, boots, hats, or gloves to those in need in our community”, says Cst. Jordan O’Quinn of Kitscoty RCMP. “Let’s make sure our shelters are well stocked and can keep helping our community, and ensure its vulnerable population is safe.”

Anyone can donate to the Lloydminster Men’s Shelter, by using the Make a Donation tab on its website.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
