Lloydminster unemployment ticks up one per cent in January

Unemployment on both sides of the Border City is up about one per cent for January 2024.

On the Saskatchewan side, the region of Prince Albert-Northern Saskatchewan rose from 2.9 per cent in December to 4.1 per cent in January – an increase of 1.2 per cent.

Meanwhile, on the Alberta side, the area covering Camrose-Drumheller ticked up from 3.1 in December to 4.1 in January – a rise of one per cent.

Saskatchewan’s overall unemployment is at 4.8 in January, up from 4.4 per cent in December. For Alberta, the stat is also up at 6.2 in January from 5.6 per cent in December.
