Lloydminster City crews will be on standby from Sunday with plows and sanders to deal with the volume of snow in the forecast from Sunday night through Monday.
Special weather statements are already in effect for areas east of Lloydminster as a fast-moving Alberta clipper makes its way across the Prairies. Environment Canada is currently forecasting 10-20 cm of snow in areas where the storm will track.
Officials say they will begin clearing priority 1 routes, and continue to follow the winter maintenance policy, which can be viewed on the city’s website.
