A Lloydminster softball talent has gotten a call up to the U18 Team Canada roster.
Katherine Thiessen will represent the maple leaf in the 2024 WBSC Pan American Championship from March 30 – April 6 in Colombia. The team will have Keith Mackintosh from Melfort as head coach.
Canada will play in group B facing the likes of Brazil, Cuba, and Puerto Rico, among others.
The top six teams from this phase will advance to the Super Round and from there, it’s a shot at the Group Stage of the Women’s U18 Softball World Cup which starts in late July in Brazil, China, and Dallas, USA.
