Kindness Wins swags over $5K for Kindness school grants

The sale of bunnyhugs, t-shirts, and Kindness Wins gear has brought in over $5,100 towards the kindness efforts in support of school grants managed through Beyond Borders Circle of Change.

The annual sales at the various Lloydminster and District Co-operative locations with gear designed by the Art Academy and Brandi Hofer support several student-led projects in local schools.

Beyond Borders Circle of Change is a non-profit comprising both Public and Catholic school divisions, Alberta Health Services, Saskatchewan Health Authority, Lloydminster Community Youth Centre, and Lloydminster Sexual Assault Services. Their efforts support a connected community where all individuals feel respected, proud, safe, and cared for, say organizers.

The funds raised will also support the Kindness is Power (KIP) Team training sessions offered to Grade 5 and Grade 8 students across both school divisions.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
