Attempted abduction, police seek help to find suspects

Lloydminster RCMP are asking for your help after two male suspects in a truck tried to abduct a woman.

On March 24, police received a report of an attempted abduction near the Men’s Shelter at about 10:30 a.m. A vehicle with two men pulled up alongside a woman who was walking and asked if she wanted a ride. The woman declined and continued walking. The vehicle continued to slowly follow the woman until it stopped and both occupants exited the vehicle and attempted to force the woman into the front of the vehicle. The woman began screaming and fighting which caught a witness’s attention, and she managed to get away.

The suspect vehicle is described as:

  • 2007-2009 GMC Sierra
  • Dark blue in colour
  • Alberta license plate beginning with ZTE, ending in three numbers

The driver of the vehicle is:

  • Caucasian male
  • About 50-60 years old
  • Approximately five feet seven to five feet nine inches tall
  • Medium – heavy build
  • Clean shaven

The passenger of the vehicle is:

  • Caucasian male
  • Approximately 50-60 years old
  • About five feet seven to five feet nine inches tall
  • Slender build
  • Shaven with stubble
