Sask to keep small business income tax at one per cent

Saskatchewan is proposing to keep its small business income tax at one per cent until June 30, 2025.

The province introduced an amendment on Wednesday, Mar. 27 to stay the course rather than return the tax to the two per cent that it stood at before the pandemic.

Government estimates about 31,000 small businesses in Saskatchewan will save $56 million in corporate income tax.

The tax was scheduled to return to two per cent on July 1.
