Lloydminster RCMP find child, seek parents

UPDATE: Lloydminster RCMP advise that the child has been identified and his family contacted.

A child who was seen wandering near 2902 – 50 Avenue is now safe with Child and Family Services and Lloydminster RCMP are now seeking to reunite him with his parents.

On April 2, at about 7 p.m., Lloydminster RCMP were called in as eyewitnesses reported seeing the child walking in the neighbourhood.

He is described as about one metre tall, weighing about 45 pounds, with brown eyes, and black hair.
The child is wearing a grey zip-up sweater, a black and green Haley Hanson winter jacket, a navy t-shirt with green writing on it, and black winter boots with blue lining on them.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Lloydminster Detachment at 780-808-8400, as they seek to reunite the child with his parents.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
