Lloydminster energy land leases and licenses brought in $1,425,234.16, an average of $294.37/hectare for Saskatchewan in the April 2 offering.
For Saskatchewan overall, 121 leases and two licenses were bought by oil and gas producers, with Lloydminster making up 32 of the leases comprising 4,841.643 hectares.
The Lloydminster highlights show that “Synergy Land Services Ltd. bid $408,366.92, or an average of $5,045.99 per hectare, for a lease located 10 km west of Paradise Hill near the Tangleflags North Oil Pool. This is the highest bonus bid and highest dollars per hectare received on a parcel in the Lloydminster area. This 80.929-hectare lease is prospective for heavy oil in the Mannville Group.”
In the Kindersley-Kerrobert area, the biggest sale was a 258.803-hectare lease for $136,125.20, going to Synergy Land Services Ltd. Overall there was five lease sales in that region was $234,074.69, an average of $164.13/hectare for a total of 1,426.140-hectares.
The total sales from Saskatchewan petroleum and natural gas dispositions generated $15,454,748.02, on April 2. The biggest purchase was a 193.711-hectare lease in Estevan for $2,200,000.00 by Hummingbird Energy Inc.
