Injured Britannia resident dies: Maidstone RCMP

On April 3, at about 5 p.m., Maidstone RCMP received a report of an injured man at a home in the RM of Britannia. Police had been asked to do a wellness check on the man at about 7:14 a.m. that morning.

However, a physical check on the man was not completed, according to police.

When officers found the man, he was transported to hospital with serious injuries. He later died in hospital. His family has been notified and victim services will be made available to them.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes, with assistance from North Battleford Forensic Identification Services, are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death in collaboration with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
