Agriterra Equipment rolls out in Lloydminster

A brand new ag dealer is now in the Border City with the opening of Agriterra Equipment.

With roots going back to 2013 in Stony Plain, Alberta, the ag company now has 12 locations in Alberta and Saskatchewan, says president and owner Brian Taschuk.

“While Vermilion is the biggest ag market in Alberta, the other side of the border in Saskatchewan is a huge ag community. We were located previously in Dewberry which is about 40 minutes northwest of Lloydminster, and we needed to grow and expand our business. Lloydminster is a central location and a great place to start that growth.”

Some of the key equipment brands under the Agriterra barn are Massey Ferguson, Fendt, CAT, Morris, MacDon, Toro, Lemken, and Claas. Branch manager Kim Wildeman says the community can look forward to a much bigger shop with the room to accommodate their needs and the staff to back it up.

“I have tried to get it going as a family-orientated business. We have good quality people. We have three people who moved with us from Dewberry with well over 20 years of experience each. It’s tough to find that nowadays to get that experience,” says Wildeman.

Agriterra Lloydminster held an open house and lunch for the community which was catered by the Lloydminster Exhibition. Going forward the community can expect more demos and training seminars on the new gear in the off-season.

The new ag dealer is along Highway 16 West at 13064 Spruce Road, County of Vermilion River, Blackfoot.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
