Maidstone RCMP, Onion Lake Emergency Services search for missing man

There is an increased police presence along Highway 17 between Alcurve and Onion Lake as Maidstone RCMP ask motorists to watch for police officers and other civilian pedestrians who are searching for a missing hiker.

Serayne Kematch, 28-years was last seen on April 10 near Alcurve in the RM of Britannia. He was said to be walking to Onion Lake.

Onion Lake Emergency Services have set up a base at the Alcurve Hall and are asking volunteers who wish to help in the search, to come dressed with orange or yellow t-shirts or their safety vests.

Maidstone RCMP ask people who live in this area to check their properties, outbuildings, and vehicles for any sign of Serayne, or anything that seems out of place.

You can report sightings or information to your local police by calling 310-RCMP.

His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
