Lloyd Ex reveals summer fair concerts, Jul 10-13

The Lloyd Ex Fair Concerts is revealing its lineup for the summer’s big party inside the Culligan Water Building.

On July 10, Indigenous Hip Hop sensation, Joey Stylez with Carson Gray will be free with your gate admission on the main stage.

“His song, ‘You driving me crazy (Indian girl)‘, was the best pop music video at the Native American Music Awards in 2022,” says Daryl Hanley with the organizing committee, who notes Stylez was also on the opening soundtrack for the TV series Yellowstone.

Stylez has opened for Snoop Dog, 50-Cent, and Billy Ray Cyrus. Also, he leads several workshops to inspire youth.

On July 12, Matthew Good Band will rock out. Tickets are $45 which includes gate admission to the fair.

“He is one of the best songwriters, I think of the last 30 years. He has got a cross-country tour this summer, and he is selling out in most of these places,” says Hanley.

Wrapping up on July 13 is Ottawa’s country sensation, River Town Saints with Morgan Klaiber as the opening act. This one is free with your gate admission.

“A lot of people know their debut single,’ She’s got that,‘ It had half a million streams in the first few months. They had a top-10 single called ‘Bonfire.’ They’ve had, ‘Long time coming.’ They’ve opened for Tim Hicks, Kip Moore – they are becoming huge,” says Hanley adding that Morgan Klaiber is an up-and-coming talent from southern Alberta and the winner of the 2023 Ranchmans Rising Star Award.

More details on July 11 will be announced, and this act will also be free with your gate admission.

Tickets for the Matthew Good Band will be available in person at Lloyd Ex shortly. Tickets will also be available on the day of the concert if they don’t sell out for $55.00 plus taxes and fees.

The Lloyd Ex Fair will kick off with the parade involving some 100 floats, and all the fun activities to follow at the Midway on July 10.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
