Lloyd Co-op celebrates 110 years, members receive $5.6 million

A century is a long time, but for the Lloyd Co-op to celebrate a century plus 10 years of existence and give back to the community including $5.6 million to its over 22,000 members is outstanding.

At its annual general meeting, the Lloydminster and District Cooperative announced on Monday, May 6, it is returning operational revenue of over $184.3 million and a record savings after tax of $11.3 million.

The big family came together at the WLS Convention Centre, Lloyd Ex with a $10 ticket donation to the Lloydminster Region Health Foundation.

Successful candidates from the board election that was held in April are Chantelle Lefevbre, Peter Sandercock, Alan Lorenz, and Stacy Cadzow. Servus Credit Union kept track of the election process and gave their fee as a donation to The Olive Tree.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
