Queue the drum roll as honours are rolling out for Lloydminster Comprehensive students following the provincial Skills Canada contest this week in Edmonton.
The gold medals winners will join up with Team Alberta to head to the national skills stage at ExpoCité in Quebec on May 30-31.
The medal list reads:
- Jayden Wood – Gold – Electrical
- Princess Dabu – Gold – IT Office Level 1
- Aashna Patel – Silver – IT Office Level 2
- Josh More – Silver – Mechanical CADD
- Carina Lorenzana and Jordyn Fash – Workplace Safety award for Video Production
- Mark Baldwin – workplace safety award in Electrical
- Aashna Patel – workplace safety award in IT Office Software
Over at Lakeland College, James Wilson snatched gold in Heavy Vehicle Technology among post-secondary schools.
At Holy Rosary High School, three students are bringing back medals for the trophy cabinet including:
- Davin Bajema and Zander Ens – Silver – Video Production
- Arvinn Rebollido – Bronze – Photography
